Harrison Craig, age 10, was recently honored with Lehi City’s JustServe Hero Award for his exceptional commitment to community service. Inspired by the Presidential Volunteer Service Award, Harrison set out to complete 75+ hours of volunteer work within a year—yet accomplished this in just six months. His service included cleaning parks, removing graffiti, planting wildflowers, building equipment, and leading teams in projects across Lehi. Although the national PVSA program was suspended before he could receive the gold medal, Harrison’s dedication did not go unnoticed. During Lehi’s 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance, Mayor Mark Johnson recognized Harrison as one of the first recipients—and the first youth under 18—to receive this city honor. Harrison’s leadership and hard work have inspired his peers and community, and he will also receive a congratulatory letter from U.S. Congressman Burgess Owens. Harrison truly exemplifies how young people can make a real impact through service.
